5-A-Side WorldCup Competition in aid of ChildAid

On Saturday, May 8th four ChildAid volunteers are running a 32-team WorldCup competition. The four are all taking part in the ChildAid trek to Mt. Kilimanjaro in June, and the event is being organised to raise funds for that trek.

The event will be held in the Pembroke Wanderers grounds on Serpentine Avenue in Dublin 4. The first games will kick off at 12 noon, with the final due to finish up around 6pm.

There will be food served for all participants, finishing up with a disco in the clubhouse until late. It sounds like it will be a great day, and ChildAid wishes the organisers all the best with their efforts.

Teams will be made up of 6 players and the entry fee for a team is €150. This price includes the football itself as well as the BBQ & disco. The will also be a raffle on the night with a wide selection of prizes up for grabs.
